Hana FeingoldIntern

The Stone & Compass internship program provides a launch pad for youth to make connections across the globe in meaningful and impactful ways in order to create lasting solutions to many of the world’s problems. Consisting of high school and college students, our internship program provides opportunities for students to travel abroad, connect with youth and leaders around the world, and create and build sustainable projects for local communities. Supported by the Stone & Compass volunteer adult staff, our interns build confidence and capacity to become global-minded change agents inspiring others to follow in their footsteps.

Alexis Gallotto

Intern

Alexis is a freshman at Simmons University, where she is majoring in Nursing. She has recently started her internship with Stone and Compass after traveling to Bulgaria in July 2019. Alexis is excited to go to the Azores in the upcoming year and to continue traveling with the group for many years to come. Currently, Alexis is working with a few other interns on their project for Nigeria and they will go to the UN to discuss their work in the near future.

Andrew Dearborn

Intern

Andrew is a sophomore at Wesleyan University where he studies Government and Economics and high jumps for the track team. An intern since 2016, Andrew has participated in and led four trips to our center in Bulgaria, as well as traveled to the United Nations in January of 2017. Andrew worked with Rob in the summer of 2018 as a close associate in his landscaping business, and is working full time this summer in a similar capacity. Focused primarily on future business development plans in Bulgaria and domestically, Andrew will be travelling with the S&C team for years to come.

Anna Tyrrell

Intern

Anna is a sophomore at the University of Virginia and plans to double major in Global Development Studies and Public Policy. Anna has been an intern with Stone & Compass since August of 2016 and has traveled with Stone & Compass to Bulgaria four times, two of which were Service Learning trips. She has also joined the Stone & Compass team on trips to the United Nations five times. Anna participated in the Stone & Compass “Partnership, Peace, and Development: A Sustainable Project Model” presentation at the UN in March of 2017. Anna looks forward to working in Europe focusing on spreading ecotourism in order to preserve cultural heritage, as well as traveling back to Bulgaria many more times in the future.

Annie Hollister

Intern

Annie is currently a senior at Tulane University in New Orleans, LA. She is studying public health, art history, and Spanish. Annie completed a semester abroad in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Annie first traveled to Bulgaria with Stone & Compass in the summer of 2016. She became an intern shortly after the trip and has been working for Stone & Compass for the past 3 years. As an intern, Annie has traveled to the United Nations twice, attended conferences in Bulgaria, and spent one week in Dominica planning for future projects. Annie loves her work with Stone & Compass because she loves connecting with people and hearing their stories. She looks forward to all that is to come in her future with Stone & Compass.

Annie Rudelitch

Intern

Annie is currently a senior at Marblehead High School where she is apart of the swim team. She is also the Vice President of a club called Venture Crew. Annie has traveled to Bulgaria two times for service learning trips, where she soon after discovered her passion to be an intern. She loves to travel, and is very excited to be working on the Bulgaria service learning trips. Annie looks forward to traveling to the United Nations and to work on more projects.

Ava Ulian

Intern

Ava is currently a junior at Marblehead high school where she plays field hockey and tennis. Ava traveled to Bulgaria in the summer of 2018 and 2019 and became an intern after her first trip. She accompanied other interns to the United Nations in December 2018 where she met with different delegates and the Ambassador to Dominica. Ava will be traveling to the Azores and Dominica in 2020!

Ben Jarrett

Intern

Ben is in his second year at the College of William and Mary planning to double major in economics and international relations. Ben graduated St. John’s Prep in 2018, where he volunteered as a tutor for underclassmen and ran the Future Entrepreneur’s Club as president. Ben began his internship in 2017 after traveling to Bulgaria on a High School Service Learning trip and falling in love with the country, people, and organization. Since then, Ben’s involvement with Stone & Compass has consisted of recruiting for and returning to Bulgaria as a tour leader, representing Stone & Compass at the United Nations, and assisting in expanding the business aspect of the company.

Benji Boyd

Intern

Benji is a freshman at Marblehead High School, where he writes for the Headlight Newspaper and performs in Drama Club. Benji is scheduled to go on his first trip with Stone and Compass to Bulgaria during the summer of 2022 after two years of cancellations due to the pandemic, and he is very excited to finally begin his travels with Stone and Compass. During Benji’s time as an intern, he has participated in several projects, such as the yard sale fundraiser and cookie fundraiser.

Bridget Larkin

Intern

Bridget is currently a junior at Marblehead High School. She enjoys Marblehead’s art programs and is involved in clubs such as Marblehead Interact, Exchange Students and Friends, Jefferson Forum, and Best Buddies! She fell in love with Bulgaria on her first trip and decided to return the next year! Ever since she has been eager to learn about the rest of the world. She has hosted exchange students from Thailand, Bolivia, and now Germany. She has now been to Bulgaria twice and is very excited to be working on the Serbia trip and the Bosnia trip. Her favorite part about being an intern is being able to learn about new cultures and meet amazing people!

Brielle Blood

Intern

Brielle is a senior at Salem High School and is apart of many activities including the drama and musical programs as well as Harvard Model United Nations and Tri-M & National Honor Society. Brielle traveled to Bulgaria in the summer of 2019 and instantly applied to be an intern for she fell in love with Stone & Compass and their image. She is currently apart of the Dominica Service trip and will go there during February vacation, 2019!! Brielle has a dream to start a non-profit organization that focuses on having a supportive community for the betterment of education and young children’s lives. She plans on majoring in Sociology and English in her first year of college and can’t wait to begin this beautiful and amazing opportunity and journey with Stone & Compass!

Callie O’Neill

Intern

Callie is senior at Marblehead High School where she plays field hockey, lacrosse, and is a member of the swim team. She has been an intern with Stone & Compass since she traveled to Bulgaria in the summer of 2018 and has participated in a trip to the United Nations. She hopes to travel to both the UN and Bulgaria many more times to come.

Camille Egan

Intern

Camille is a Junior at Marblehead High School. She enjoys playing tennis in the spring. She is passionate about helping others and making a difference where she can. Camille traveled to Bulgaria in the summer of 2019 to restore a theater. She also traveled to Azores in the summer of 2021 and plans to continue to travel and work with Stone and Compass. Camille is very excited to be working with Stone and Compass and can not wait for all the exciting adventures to come.

Carter Murray

Intern

Carter is senior at Marblehead High School. As an intern, she has enjoyed helping Stone & Compass build the future through sustainable projects around the world. To her, the most exciting part about this opportunity is being able to travel abroad while simultaneously helping others in need. Carter has developed a Service Learning trip to the Azores launching in 2020 and will travel to Bulgaria for a second time this summer.

Clara Donovan

Intern

Clara is a sophomore at Marblehead High School who plays field hockey, basketball, and lacrosse for them. She is also the class president and enjoys school a lot. Clara has been to the Azores trip last year and is going to Italy in 2022. She wants to plan a trip for Stone and Compass somewhere, maybe in Greece or somewhere in South Africa.

Eila Sullivan

Intern

Eila is a rising senior at Marblehead High School and this her second year as a Stone & Compass Intern. So far, Eila has traveled to Bulgaria once and has visited the United Nations twice, the second time as a youth speaker at a forum. In school, Eila plays soccer and will be a spring track captain in the upcoming season. Currently, she is working on developing the Global Artisan Market and updating the Stone & Compass website.

Emma Zurn

Intern

Emma is a freshman at the Landmark High School and enjoys dancing. To make a difference in her community, she would like to build it up and allow people to come together. She would love to have a judgment-free community, and build strong bonds together!

Gabriella Mark

Intern

Gabriella is a sophomore studying public relations and advertising with a minor in law at San Diego State University. Gabriella has been working with Stone & Compass as an intern since the summer of 2016 and has traveled to Bulgaria the last four summers, both participating in and leading tours. She joined Stone & Compass on two United Nations trips; once participating in the Stone & Compass “Partnership, Peace, and Development: A Sustainable Project Model” presentation March of 2017 at the Partnership Forum. Gabriella will continue to work with Stone & Compass as well as travel with the team.

Ginger Guy

Intern

Ginger is a soon to be a senior at Marblehead High School. She plays varsity field hockey and is the ski team captain (she has been a competitive ski racer since age of 8). Ginger has been a student at the Acorn Gallery School of Art since 6th grade. In addition to interning at Stone & Compass, she volunteers at Lifebridge and My Brother’s Table. Ginger has participated in the 2021 Azores Service Learning Trip and is looking forward to the 2022 Bulgaria Service Learning trip.

Grace Wetherbee

Intern

Grace is a freshman at Fitchburg State University where she is studying Political Science with a minor in Spanish. Her studies will focus on international politics. She also intends to play lacrosse at Fitchburg. She first traveled with Stone & Compass to Bulgaria in the summer of 2018 and went back to Bulgaria in 2019. Shortly after her return, she joined the Intern Program. She will be traveling to the Azores in 2020 and hopes to work with Stone & Compass on future projects designed to help many different people around the world.

Hana Feingold

Intern

Hana is a senior at Marblehead High School where she runs track during the winter and spring seasons. She has been an intern for Stone and Compass since 2018, after traveling to Bulgaria for the first time that summer. Hana has traveled to Bulgaria twice and works closely in the Azores where she is helping to implement sustainable farming techniques and renewable sources of energy. Hana has been to the United Nations three times, one of which was to speak at an S&C forum titled “Stone & Compass, How the Sustainable Development Goals can Create Unlimited Opportunity.” Hana hopes to utilize international connections and ecotourism to promote the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.

Jack Maniaci

Intern

Jack is a senior at Marblehead High School. He runs on the Cross Country team and plays guitar in the Jazz Band. Jack is interested in studying history, politics, linguistics, and music, and has been to Bulgaria twice, once as an intern.

Jackson Crilley

Intern

Jackson is currently in his second year at Suffolk University in Boston, where he is majoring in Public Relations and minoring in Journalism. Through experiences in high school, Jackson has learned to foster a passion for graphic design and photography, which he hopes to soon utilize in his professional life. His first experience with Stone and Compass was taking part in the 2019 Service Learning Trip to Bulgaria and joined the intern program soon after, where he is involved with social media and outreach for the organization.

Julia McGrath

Intern

Julia is a senior at Marblehead High School where she enjoys dance as an extracurricular activity. She would love to travel the world one day and help as much as she can, which is one reason why she is an intern for Stone & Compass. She has traveled to Bulgaria on a High School Service Learning trip and participated in a visit to the United Nations.

Lauren Bull

Intern

Lauren is a junior at La Grange High School, deep in the heart of Texas! Although a native of Marblehead, Massachusetts, Lauren is enjoying spreading a little bit of Stone & Compass to her rural community. She is passionate about theater, and has an aptitude for writing and history. She loves Spanish class and hopes to be fluent in the near future. Lauren went on her first service trip with Stone & Compass in July of 2019 to help restore a dilapidated theater in a small Bulgarian village, and has since traveled to the beautiful Azores Islands to learn all about farm care from a lovely young couple. Inspired by the bountiful nature and agricultural practices she saw in the Azores, Lauren is now busy caring for her own Texan ranch, and is an active member of the Future Farmers of America (FFA) chapter in her small, southern town. Lauren is thrilled to be working long-distance with Stone & Compass, and is looking forward to making the world a better place while simultaneously promoting human-to-human connections with others around the world!

Lia Gorbach

Intern

Lia Gorbach is a senior at Marblehead High School. She loves to dance and travel, and has been to Bulgaria and the Azores with S&C. She has been an intern for four years and has been a member of the executive board for two!

Lily Finnegan

Intern

Lily is a senior at Marblehead High School where she enjoys being a member of the field hockey, tennis and ski teams. Lily has been an instrumental leader in the international internship program and continues to work on various global projects. Lily is a leader for the study abroad program in Bulgaria. In Bulgaria, she helped showcase service learning projects to better serve the local communities. She is the regional leader of the Azores and Uganda programs and is also working on building sustainable projects in Dominica. Lily has her eye on coordinating a new service learning opportunity in Thailand. In her local community, she has assisted with Stone and Compasses’ projects at the new retreat center in Ipswich as well as landscaping work in Marblehead. She co-hosted the Stone and Compass Gala raising money for overseas projects. Lily is passionate about learning and growing with Stone and Compass!

Madeleine McIlroy

Intern

Madeleine is a senior at Marblehead High School where she plays field hockey and is a member of the swim and track team. Madeleine has traveled to Bulgaria twice for service learning trips and became an intern shortly thereafter. She is currently working on a service trip to Dominica for the spring of 2020. She is excited to help the program grow, building global programs as well as fundraising domestically.

Madeline LaBossiere

Intern

Madeline is currently a freshman at Marblehead High School. This is her first year interning with Stone & Compass. Madeline’s first trip abroad with the program will be to Bulgaria in July of 2022. She is excited to travel with the rest of the interns and hopes to learn more with Stone & Compass.

Maeve Caldwell

Intern

Maeve is currently a sophomore at Denison University where she is also on the lacrosse team. Maeve has been an intern since 2016 and has traveled to the center in Bulgaria five times participating in and leading tours. She has participated in five United Nations trips including the Stone & Compass “Partnership, Peace, and Development: A Sustainable Project Model” presentation at the UN March of 2017 Partnership Forum. Maeve will be traveling with us this summer and many summers to come.

Maeve Mcilroy

Intern

Maeve is a sophomore at Marblehead High School. She participates in Best Buddies, student council, and is a member of the gymnastics team. Maeve became an intern after going to the Azores with Stone and Compass this past summer. She is looking forward to going to Italy this year, and can’t wait to make a difference with Stone and Compass!

Malachy McAdams

Intern

Malachy is currently a junior at Essex Technical High School where he is a culinary student. He is also apart of the swim and dive team. This is Malachy’s second summer going to Bulgaria and not his last.

Maya Amsler

Intern

Maya is currently a Senior at Marblehead High School where she sings in the choir and participates in the drama program. She has a fascination with other cultures and countries around the world and hopes to study international relations in her higher education. Maya traveled to Bulgaria two summers ago with Stone and Compass and had an amazing experience. After going on the Dominica service trip last February, Maya has become devoted to the Dominica project, becoming region leader and hopes to expand the relationships with this country and to develop a second trip to Dominica in the near future. Maya also designed the Stone and Compass honey labels and is constantly creating.

Megan Waters

Intern

Megan is a senior at Marblehead High School. She’s been dancing for ten+ years as an extracurricular activity. After traveling to Bulgaria summer of 2019 Megan decided to become an intern with Stone & Compass. Since then she has traveled with S&C to the Azores, New York and plans to visit Italy in the summer of 2022. Megan has worked closely with S&C both abroad and locally and helped to organize events to raise money for the intern program. She looks forward to exploring new parts of the world while creating change with Stone and Compass!

Meryl Hollister

Intern

Meryl is currently a junior at Marblehead High School where she also runs track and cross-country. Her first trip to Bulgaria was in 2016 with her family. Meryl became an intern after participating in the 2018 High School Service Learning Trip to Bulgaria. In December 2018, she traveled to the United Nations with four other interns where she participated in two different meetings including one with the Ambassador of Dominica. Meryl will be traveling to Bulgaria for the third time with us this summer on the High School Service Learning # 2 Trip, where she will help restore a community center and theater. She is excited to be working with Stone & Compass and plans to for many years to come.

Mia Atallah

Intern

Mia Atallah is a senior at Marblehead High School. She is on the soccer, swim, and track team at school and dances at A Performing Arts Academy. After traveling on the 2018 and 2019 Bulgaria Service-Learning trip, she is now working as an Intern for S&C. She is currently working on the Tanzania/Kenya Service project and is excited to travel the world while helping others. She is most looking forward to traveling to the United Nations and working with different leaders and representatives.

Molly Claire

Intern

Molly is currently a sophomore at Marblehead High School. She runs cross country in the fall and track during the winter and spring. Molly Claire traveled to Bulgaria for the first time in the summer of 2019 and became an intern shortly after. She loves traveling and meeting new people and can’t wait to do more with Stone and Compass.

Natalie Suhr

Intern

Natalie is a Junior at Marblehead High School. She is a member of the girls lacrosse team and is an active participant in the National Green School Society. She is interested in helping the environment and animal wellness. She is looking forward to going on her first Stone and Compass trip next summer in Bulgaria, her first time out of the country as well. She is excited to begin traveling.

Rei Newman

Intern

Rei, a senior at Marblehead High School, is very passionate about making a difference in the lives of others. She is a member of the National Art Honors Society and has a strong love for art and design. As an intern, she has accompanied the other Stone & Compass interns to the United Nations, and she looks forward to visiting Bulgaria for the second year this summer.

Ryan Grohe

Intern

Ryan is a senior at Marblehead High School. He plays football, and is interested in politics, history, and agriculture. He went to Bulgaria last summer for his first trip, and will be going to Serbia this coming summer.

Sarah Gold

Intern

Sarah is a junior at Marblehead High School. She is a member of the Field Hockey and Tennis teams. Sarah is involved with several community service clubs at the high school including Interact Club, Team Harmony, and National Green School Society. Recently, she was involved with Stone and Compass’ local Monarch Project. Sarah loved her first S&C trip to the Azores and is looking forward to traveling to Bulgaria in 2022. Through her engagement with S&C, Sarah has developed a passion for global public health and international relations. She hopes to develop a project with a focus on health care access in the future.
