Day 1
Departure Day

Today we will head to the airport to take our overnight flight to Ireland.

Day 2

Once you arrive in Dublin you will be greeted by a member of the Stone & Compass team who will be with you on your travels around Ireland. We will store our luggage at our hotel before heading to the city center where we take a walking tour. Later in the day we will take a tour of Trinity College, Irelands oldest university.

Day 3

Today after breakfast we will visit the Irish Museum of Modern Art. The Irish Museum of Modern Art also known as IMMA, is Ireland’s leading national institution for the collection and presentation of modern and contemporary art. Located in Kilmainham, Dublin, the Museum presents a wide variety of art in a changing program of exhibitions, which regularly includes bodies of work from its own collection and its education and community department. In the afternoon we will visit the Guinness Store house where you can learn to pour the perfect pint of Guinness as well as sampling it.

Day 4

This morning we will visit the Kerlin Gallery. In 2015, the Artnet website included the gallery in its list of the top 55 galleries to visit in Europe. This afternoon there will be some free time to explore the center of Dublin for yourself and maybe even pick a little souvenir.

Day 5

Today after breakfast we will start our journey around Ireland by travelling to Cork, Irelands second largest city. On the way we will stop firstly at Kilkenny castle, a castle built in 1195 to control a fording point of the river Nore. We will then carry on our journey and visit The Rock of Cashel, also known as Cashel of the Kings and St Patrick’s Rock before continuing on to Cork.

Day 6
Blarney Castle

Today we will visit Blarney Castle where you can visit and if you wish kiss the Blarney stone, there is also the gardens to explore as well. Later in the day we will visit the Crawford art gallery. The Crawford Art Gallery is a public art gallery and museum in the city of Cork, Ireland. Known informally as the Crawford, it was designated a ‘National Cultural Institution’ in 2006.

Day 7
Cork Art College

Today we will visit the University College of Corks art department. We will spend some time interacting with local students and faculty members for the day.

Day 8
Garnish Island

Today we will continue our travels by departing Cork. Our first stop will be to the small village on Glengarriff where we take a small ferry ride to Garnish Island. The Island is one of the most significant gardens in Europe, it has and internationally import plant collection that consists mostly of southern hemisphere plants due to its unique sheltered position and warming from the gulf stream. Later on, we will head to our next Stop in the town of Tralee.

Day 9
Killarney National Park

After breakfast we will head to Killarney National Park for the day, Within the park there is many attractions to visit including Muckross House, Muckross Abbey and the Torc waterfall.

Day 10
Dingle Peninsula

Today we will take a trip and explore some of Irelands most breathtaking scenery along the Dingle Peninsula. The rugged coastline and sandy beaches perfectly contrast against each other on the western side of the Island. We will spend some time in the small town if Dingle as well that still has the feeling of being stuck in time gone by in some of the little side streets.

Day 11
Bunratty Castle and Galway

Today we will visit travel from Killarney to the western town of Sligo. On the way we will stop and enjoy some time at Bunratty Castle and folk park where we can explore this 15th century tower house and its grounds. We will then travel on to Galway.

Day 12
Cliffs of Moher

This morning after breakfast we will visit the Cliffs of Moher. The cliffs dominate the coastline and on a nice day you can see the Aran Islands. Later in the afternoon we will return to Galway and have some time to explore Eyre Square and the Hispanic quarter.

Day 13
Return to Dublin

Today we will take our final journey and travel back to Dublin.

Day 14

Today you will have the chance to exhibit and showcase your artwork in your own gallery space. We will have a group farewell dinner tonight in a traditional Irish pub.

Day 15
Departure Day

Today we will say our farewells as you return to the United States.
