Day 1
Departure

Depart for an overnight flight to Cairo, Egypt.

Day 2
Arrival

Arrive in Cairo in the morning. Check in at the hotel before heading to lunch at Zen Cafe and Lounge. After eating, head over to the Egyptian museum and immerse yourself in the world of ancient Egypt. You’ll find authentic artifacts, technology, and mummies! Then go grab dinner at Felfela, a restaurant near the museum and considered a downtown signature. Finally head back to the hotel and get some rest before tomorrow’s tour of The Pyramids.

Day 3
Cairo

Private Five-Hour Tour of the Pyramids of Giza then flight to Luxor

Tour Description: The Pyramids of Giza are the last surviving wonder of the ancient world. Experience them in style, without the haggling, on this private half-day tour. Your personal Egyptologist will introduce you to the three great pyramids, the mysterious Great Sphinx, and the Valley Temple. Along the way, ride a camel through the desert, capture timeless pictures, and enjoy an Egyptian lunch. This is a door-to-door tour, with Wi-Fi throughout.

Day 4
Luxor

Begin Nile Tour: Luxor East Bank – Luxor

You will be picked up at your hotel and meet your rep. Discover the East bank of Luxor including Karnak Temples Complex, which are the largest structures ever built in the history of mankind. The principal building is that of god Amun Ra. Later on, you will proceed to visit the Temple of Luxor, which was built by one of the kings of the 12th dynasty and completed by the well known king Ramses II. This temple was located in the heart of ancient Thebes and, like Karnak, was dedicated to the main/chief god Amun Re.(L-D)

Day 5
Luxor West Bank – Sail to Edfu

Breakfast on board. Start your magical tour in Thebes, the sacred land by exploring the wet bank of Luxor including Valley of the Kings, which is considered as the royal cemetery of the Theban kings and rulers of ancient Egypt, and the place where our Pharaohs were buried. After that, proceed to visit the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir El Bahari. This temple is considered as one of the most wonderful examples of the Architecture in ancient Egypt, because it was totally carved inside the mountain. At the end of the tour you will visit Colossi of Memnon, which belongs to king Amenhotep III. (Breakfast-Lunch-Dinner)

Day 6
Edfu – Kom Ombo – Sail to Aswan

Breakfast on board. Then the guide will take you on a mysterious journey to the land of secrets. This guided tour of today begins by visiting one of the most wonderful temples in Egypt, Temple of Horus in Edfu, which is considered to be one of the most well preserved temples in Egypt. After that, you will revert back to your ship. Lunch will be served on board during sailing to the city of Kom Ombo. Afternoon, you will proceed to explore the Temple of Kom Ombo, where the two gods Sobek & Haroeris. Get back to your ship and enjoy the sun deck, watching the unique landscape of the great river Nile. On its banks the ancient Egyptian civilization has been created and flourished. (B-L-D)

Day 7
Aswan Tour – Aswan ON

Breakfast on board. Join your Egyptology guide to discover the great city of Aswan, including The High Dam, which was erected by the Egyptian president Gamal Abdel Nasser in 1960 AD to protect Egypt from the Nile flood. Enjoy sailing on the Nile River by a motor boat till reach Agilika Island, where you will visit the Temple of Philae, which was erected during the Graeco-Roman period and was dedicated to goddess Isis (mother of god Horus). Finally you will be escorted to visit one of the marvelous sightseeing places in Aswan, The Unfinished Obelisk, which was made out of red granite and was dedicated to god Amun Ra. (B-L-D)

Day 8
Disembarkation from Cruise

Check out after breakfast. Then a tour representative will accompany you to Aswan airport to take your flight to Cairo. After landing in Cairo around noon, take a three hour bus ride to Alexandria. After arriving, check in at the hotel and go get dinner at Santorini, a delicious Greek restaurant with a breathtaking view of the Mediterranean.

Day 9
Day in Alexandria

After eating breakfast at the hotel, grab a taxi or walk over to the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, located on the old site of the ancient wonder Library of Alexandria. This library is a cultural center right on the shore. It is home not only to a myriad of books but also a collection of brilliant museums. After, get lunch at the nearby restaurant, Sea Side. It is located on the Corniche, a boardwalk overlooking the beautiful Mediterranean. When you finish, take a cab or bus to the Montazah Gardens Palace which were the Royal gardens of King Faruk, the last Egyptian monarch. End your night by grabbing dinner at Zanillis, located near the gardens on the beach.

Travel
