Depart the United States for Iceland.
Today we arrive in Reykjavik and will spend first part of today taking a relaxing dip in the famous Blue Lagoon, a geothermal spa renowned for its healing properties.
Afterwards, explore the city’s attractions, including Hallgrí mskirkja Church, Harpa Concert Hall, and the Sun Voyager Sculpture.
Later, we will be visiting the Lava Centre Iceland, an interactive exhibition exploring the art and science of geology and the volcanic systems in Iceland.
Today we set out for the Golden Circle and visit the Thingvellir National Park, the Geysir, and the Gullfoss Waterfall. Thingvellir National Park is one the most historic sites in Iceland, located in the middle of a lava field, where two tectonic plates meet, and you can snorkel or dive in between them.
The exhilarating Geysir Geothermal Area a steaming and bubbling center, is home to an active geothermal vent whose fountain erupts every 4-10 minutes. Lastly, in the Golden Circle, you will find the famous Gullfoss Waterfall. Dropping two stories down into a glaciercarved gully, the meltwater changes color often so the waterfall never completely looks the same
We will drive to Vik today, On the way, we will stop at Seljalandsfoss Waterfall and at Skogafoss Waterfall before heading into Vik. Once we arrive, we will visit the sleepy town of Vik, and explore the magnificent Reynisdrangar basalt sea stacks situated under Reynisfjall Mountain.
We will then head over to the black salt beach where we can feel the hustle and bustle of city life melt away. We will then have lunch in the village.
Afterward, we will visit the underground museum – The Settlement Exhibition, which houses the oldest remains of human habitation in Reykjaví k, including a tenth-century Viking longhouse.
Today we drive to Vatnajo kull National Park. Here we will explore the stunning Jo kulsa rlo n Glacier Lagoon, where we will take a boat tour among floating icebergs.
Later, we will visit the nearby Diamond Beach, where icebergs wash up on the black sand shoreline.
Drive back to Vik
Today we drive back to Reykjavik from Vik.
Later today, we’ll enjoy a horseback riding adventure with the famous Icelandic ponies.
Late tonight, we will embark on an epic adventure – a Midnight Sun kayaking tour. Once on the water, you will be surrounded by a breadth of captivating natural scenery, including, of course, Mount Kirkjufell, most famous for its starring role as “the mountain like an arrowhead” in HBO’s award-winning TV series, Games of Thrones
After an exhilarating midnight sun kayaking excursion, we’ll start our day with relaxation at Sky Lagoon. Immerse yourself in the lagoon’s soothing waters and take in the invigorating ocean breeze.
Following that, our next exciting activity awaits: a whale-watching expedition. We’ll set off on a guided tour with the hope of encountering majestic humpback and minke whales in their natural habitat.
Today we can enjoy some last-minute shopping for Icelandic souvenirs. strolling through the shopping streets of Laugavegur, Bankastræti, Austurstræti, Lækjargata, and Sko lavo rðustí gur before boarding our return flight to the United States.
