Today we will head to the airport to take our overnight flight to Ireland.
Once you arrive in Dublin you will be greeted by a member of the Stone & Compass team who will be with you on your travels around Ireland. We will store our luggage at our hotel before heading to the city center where we take a walking tour.
Later in the day we will visit the Guinness storehouse and then to round out the day we will enjoy a welcome meal in a traditional Irish pub.
Today after breakfast we will start our journey around Ireland by travelling to Cork, Irelands second largest city. On the way we will stop firstly at Kilkenny castle, a castle built in 1195 to control a fording point of the river Nore.
We will then carry on our journey and visit The Rock of Cashel, Also known as Cashel of the Kings and St Patrick’s Rock before continuing on to Cork.
Today we will visit Blarney Castle where you can visit and if you wish kiss the Blarney stone, there is also the gardens to explore as well.
Later in the day we will spend some time in Cork exploring the city.
Today we will continue our travels by departing Cork. Our first stop will be to the small village on Glengarriff where we take a small ferry ride to Garnish Island.
The Island is one of the most significant gardens in Europe, it has and internationally import plant collection that consists mostly of southern hemisphere plants due to its unique sheltered position and warming from the gulf stream.
Later on we will head to our next Stop in the town of Killarney.
After breakfast we will head to Killarney National Park for the day, Within the park there is many attractions to visit including Muckross House, Muckross Abbey and the Torc waterfall.
Today we will visit travel from Killarney to the western town of Sligo. On the way we will stop and enjoy some time at Bunratty Castle and folk park where we can explore this 15th century tower house and its grounds.
We will then travel on to Sligo.
Today we will take a day trip to Northern Ireland and visit the famous UNESCO world heritage site the Giants Causeway.
The Causeway is an area of about 40,000 interlocking basalt columns, the result of an ancient volcanic eruption.
Today we will take our final journey and travel back to Dublin where we will have our farewell dinner.
Today we will say our farewells as you return to the United States.
