Day 1

Depart the United States on overnight flight to Warsaw.

Day 2

Arrive Warsaw early/late afternoon due to time difference
Check into hotel
This evening we will have dinner at a traditional Polish restaurant

Day 3

Today we will travel to Auschwitz KL Auschwitz was the largest of the German Nazi concentration camps and extermination centers. Over 1.1 million men, women and children lost their lives here. We will return to Warsaw late this afternoon.

Day 4

Today we will have a chance to explore Warsaw – we will spend time in the Old Town, walk along the Royal Way and visit the POLIN Museum of the History of Polish Jews.

Day 5
Travel Day – Warsaw to Zagreb

Today we fly overnight and land in Zagreb, Croatia the next morning. We will walk through the colorful Tkalciceva district and enjoy quaint cafes and craft shops. From here, head off to Jelacic Square, stone gate, the Gothic Cathedral and the quirky “museum of broken relationships”. Finish the day with a wonderful dinner.

Day 6

We continue exploring Zagreb and visit the Zagreb Cathedral which was dedicated to Assumption of Mary and to kings Saint Stephen and Saint Ladislaus on January 2, 2011, in Zagreb, Croatia. It’s 46 meters wide and 108 meters high.

Day 7

Enjoy exploring this natural wonder. With the incredible views and chance to spend time in this UNESCO world environmental site, it is a once in a lifetime chance to see what National Geographic calls a top 100 destinations to see in a lifetime.

Day 8

Today we visit Diocletian’s Palace (pictured) in the city of Split. This incredible ancient wonder begins our journey into the old section of Split with its Romanesque architecture. Our day is completed with a visit to Putalj Winery and olive plantation.

Day 9

Dubrovnik, a true highlight of the trip, this morning we head to the famous seaside port of Dubrovnik. Stroll along the ancient walls, enjoy a ride on Dubrovnik cable cars, sit and have lunch in the old city and bask in the sights of the Mediterranean gem.

Day 10

The morning after your arrival in Palermo, we will embark upon a walking tour of the city with a local historian. Many of Palermo’s treasures are immediately accessible with a pleasant stroll, including the Palermo Theater, a fascinating street market, the Cathedral, the Norman Palace and Pretorian Fountain. You’ll quickly navigate Palermo like a local! Before dinner, we will enjoy a show by a local puppet master.

Day 11

This city boasts 3000 years of history from ancient Carthaginian sites through the Romans and Middle Ages as a port of call for ships heading to the Holy lands.

Day 12

Today explore the hillside town Taormina near Mount Etna.

Day 13

Today, we will spend another day exploring all Taormina has to offer, strolling Corso Umberto and visiting the Piazza Duomo of Taormina.

Day 14
