Today we will head to the airport to take our overnight flight to Scotland.
Once you arrive in Edinburgh you will be greeted by a member of the Stone & Compass team who will be with you on your travels around Scotland. We will store our luggage at our hotel before heading to Edinburgh where we will visit the home of the royal family, Holyrood Palace.
We will also take a walk along the bottom half of the historic Royal Mile before enjoying a welcome dinner at a local Scottish Inn.
Today after breakfast we will return into Edinburgh and visit the centerpiece of the city, Edinburgh Castle. Set on castle rock with spectacular views over the city, The castle is a must-see attraction.
Later we will continue to explore more of the Royal mile.
Today, we begin our journey on the western route headed for Inverness. Along the way, we’ll explore Oban, make a stop at Fort William to witness the impressive Neptune Staircase, and finally, we’ll arrive in Inverness later in the evening.
After breakfast we make the short trip to Loch Ness and embark on a cruise along the deep, dark, and mysterious Loch Ness. After the cruise will disembark at Urquart Castle which overlooks the loch and was regularly fought over between Scotland and England during the wars of independence.
In the afternoon, we’ll head to Culloden, often likened to the Scottish Alamo, and afterward, we’ll return to Inverness for some souvenir shopping and a leisurely evening meal.
Today we depart from Inverness and start our travels south, we will visit the cooperage factory before making our way to the small town of Pitlochry and enjoy a lovely lunch.
We will then travel on to Stirling and will be visiting Battle of Bannockburn battlefield and visitor center.
Afterwards, have some time to roam this historic city.
Today we will make the short journey to Edinburgh but not before stopping at another spectacular castle, Stirling Castle. The castle sits atop an intrusive crag and offers breathtaking views of its surroundings. Afterwards, we will visit Braveheart Memorial (Wallace).
Afterwards on our way back to Edinburgh we will be stopping at Falkirk Wheel & Kelpies.
Once we arrive back in Edinburgh, we will be able to visit more of the city including Princes Street and George Street.
Today we will leave early before breakfast to the airport and travel to Dublin. Once we arrive, we will drop off our luggage at the hotel and then take a walking tour of this magnificent city.
Later, we will be visiting Trinity College and The Book of Kells, one of the greatest treasures of its kind. The Book of Kells is an illuminated religious manuscript from the medieval period.
We will enjoy a traditional Irish pub dinner tonight to round off the day
After breakfast, Free time to explore on your own.
In evening, experience Howth like never before at sunset – Howth Sunset Cruise.
After breakfast, catch an early train from Dublin to Cork. Upon arrival in Cork, drive to Kinsale.
Take your time to relax for the day once you reach Kinsale.
After breakfast, it’s time for a round of golf at the Old Head of Kinsale Golf course and rest of the group will visit Kinsale Museum.
Later, at noon, we’ll depart for the Beara Peninsula.
We’ll spend the night in Adare.
Travel to County Clare and take the time to explore the towns of Miltown Malbay, Cliffs of Moher and Doolin.
Afterward, continue your journey to Lisdoonvarna.
Today, after breakfast we will be visiting Clifden, situated in the beautiful Connemara region.
After reaching Clifden, we will be visiting the enchanting Kylemore Abbey.
Afterward, we will explore the historic Clifden Castle. These two attractions offer a mix of natural beauty, architecture, and history.
Overnight stay at Clifden.
After breakfast, we will drive to Shannon airport from Clifden for our flight back home.
