Day 1
Fly to Scotland

Today we will depart the United States on our overnight flight to Scotland

Day 2
Arrival to Edinburgh

This morning, we will arrive in Edinburgh, and we will meet up with our Stone & Compass representative Neil. We will store our luggage at the hotel them take a walking tour of the city. After this we will have some time to explore the historic Royal Mile before a welcome dinner at a traditional Scottish pub.

Day 3

Today we will start off by visiting Edinburgh Castle. A prominent feature of the city skyline with a storied history. Later we will venture to the other end of the Royal Mile and visit Holyrood Palace, the official residence of the royal family in Scotland.

Day 4

This morning after breakfast we will head to the Botanical gardens, the gardens and glass house are home to one of the biggest collections of flowers and plants in the world. Later in the day we will take a stroll along the river Leith at Dean village, a quiet little corner of Edinburgh that is picturesque.

Day 5

After breakfast we will travel to Aberdeen, along the way we will visit Scone Palace. This is the site where Scottish Kings were crowned in the past including Macbeth and Robert the Bruce. The palace is the former home of the Stone of Scone that is still used for coronations of monarchs to this day. We will continue to Aberdeen for our next stop.

Day 6

Today we will start our day by visiting the once impregnable fortress of Dunnottar Castle. Perched atop a 160-foot rock and surrounded on three sides by the North Sea, these dramatic and evocative ruins were once home to the Earls Marischal, once one of the most powerful families in Scotland. Later we will cross the country to the capital of the Highlands, Inverness.

Day 7

We will start our day off by taking a cruise on Loch Ness, Home of the fabled Loch Ness Monster. After lunch we will head to Culloden Battlefield. the site of one of Britain’s bloodiest battles and the demise of the Jacobite revolution in Scotland.

Day 8
Isle of Skye

This morning, we will leave Inverness and head to Fort William, along the way we will head to the Isle of Skye and visit the Fairy pools, one of Scotland’s most beautiful and iconic locations.

Day 9

After breakfast we will take a little time explore Fort William before leaving and making our way through the scenic Glencoe Mountain range on our way to the western side of Scotland and the town of Oban. Oban is known as the seafood capital of Scotland. Once in Oban we will visit McCaigs tower which overlooks the town.

Day 10

Today we will take a ferry over to the Isle of Mull and spend the day exploring the Island. We will start by visiting Duart Castle. For over 700 years, Duart Castle, the seat of Clan Maclean, has dominated the view to the Sound of Mull and Loch Linnhe with its huge curtain walls and solid keep. The castle has also featured in several films. Next, we will head to the village of Tobermory, a bustling fishing village that is the main village of the Island. We will stay on the Island overnight to maximize the most of our time here.

Day 11

This morning, we will leave Mull and head to Glasgow, along the way we will stop at Stirling castle, the castle is one of the most important castles both historically and architecturally in Scotland and sits atop castle hill overlooking the city of Stirling. Next, we will continue to Glasgow and spend the rest of the day relaxing by the banks of the river Clyde.

Day 12
Return To Edinburgh

We will start our day by visiting the Peoples Palace which tells the story of Glasgow and its people, while we are here, we will visit the Winter Garden and take some time to stroll around Glasgow green. Later in the day we will return to Edinburgh for our farewell dinner.

Day 13
Departure Day

Today we will return to the United States.
