Day 1
Fly to Edinburgh

Fly overnight to Edinburgh

Day 2
Edinburgh

Arrive in Edinburgh. Check into the hotel. Rest and have breakfast. After breakfast we head out on a walking tour of historic Edinburgh’s “Old Town”. In the late afternoon take a nap! And get ready for some fun in the evening as we get to do something really great as we head out on the “Darkside of Edinburgh” tour after a light dinner!

Day 3
Edinburgh

Let’s head to the castle! In the AM meander up the “Royal Mile” and enjoy the shops and cobblestone streets. Then we visit the famed Edinburgh Castle. But the fun doesn’t stop there…since we are visiting Edinburgh on the longest day of the year in the evening we will head up to “Arthurs Seat” to enjoy a picnic dinner and watch the sunset at 10PM and enjoy the Solstice!

Day 4
Edinburgh

Today we head to the Scottish National Museum. We follow this up with a Whiskey and Vault tour! In the evening it’s free time. We will give you each a map and suggestions on what to explore and see and do.

Day 5
Travel to London

Today we check out and hop on a train and head to London! Once we check into our hotel near Hyde Park you will all have free time to enjoy some site seeing of Hyde Park, Harrods, Knightsbridge or Kensington Palace. For anyone who is nervous about touring around alone and is interested in doing a group activity instead of individual site seeing, we will also offer a Stone and Compass staff led Buckingham palace tour and we will have staff on hand that will guide you there and back to the hotel after. In the evening we head out to an Indian dinner. London is home to the largest Indian population outside of India and the food is incredible!

Day 6
London

Today we head out after a hearty breakfast to enjoy the National Gallery. We will enjoy a curated tour followed by a trip to the Crypt at St. Martin and lunch in the café. After this we will do brass rubbings. In the late afternoon we will head over to the National Portrait Gallery followed by dinner near Covent Garden

Day 7
London: Winchester

Today we head out of the city and visit Winchester. With it’s imposing Cathedral, Great Hall, working mill, and Wolvesey Castle ruins, this day trip is a highlight. Our day will be completed with a traditional English Pub dinner.

Day 8
London: Free Day

Free day. Today you get to be a true tourist. Every student will have a map, be given money for lunch, and a host of ideas and places for you all to see. From the Harry Potter experience to the London Eye, to Windsor Castle, you will have a full day to roam and explore. We will all meet back at the hotel for dinner together at 8PM and we can all share our stories from the day.

Day 9
London: Westminster

On this day we travel to Westminster Abbey and Westminster hall. After touring these magnificent places we will enjoy a hearty lunch. In the afternoon we will view the Inns of Court as well as St. Paul’s Cathedral. In the evening check out a theater show, Covent Garden, a movie, or just rest and relax at a local eatery

Day 10
London: British Library

British Library. We will enjoy an intimate tour of this amazing place followed by lunch and then it’s off to Madam Tussaud’s! In the late afternoon we will swing by the Wallace Collection and then on to a little free roaming along Oxford Street and Carnaby Street to do some shopping before dinner. After dinner we really get to see a darker side of London as we head out on the evening Jack the Ripper Tour!

Day 11
London: Oxford

Today we head off to check out Oxford University. We will also check out Oxford Castle and Prison, Christchurch, the meadow, and more! We will stay in Oxford and enjoy the country setting and eat at a traditional pub for dinner.

Day 12
London: South Bank

Today we head to Southwark Cathedral and enjoy the South Bank. We will have lunch at the Anchor Pub and in the afternoon there will be some optional tours available to choose from.

Day 13
London

On our last full day in London we spend the day exploring the famed British Museum and then head out for one last evening on the town.
